The Capacity Building Center for Courts is a partnership of the American Bar Association, the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, and the National Center for State Courts. The Center’s mission is to create integrated capacity-building plans that engage Court Improvement Programs (CIPs) in system improvement work, provide direct support to CIPs, and create learning opportunities and resources to elevate legal and judicial practice nationwide. The Center for Courts supports Washington’s CIP, which includes CITA, to improve child safety, permanency, and well-being outcomes for families by ensuring that courts  partner with child welfare agencies to best serve children and families.
