Live Webinar: Understanding State Public Health Guidance on High-Potency Synthetic Opioids in Child Dependency Cases

September 13 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free

2024 Webinar DOH Guidance on HPSOsJoin us for an informative and crucial webinar featuring experts from the Department of Health (DOH) who will present on the recently released Public Health Guidance on High Potency Synthetic Opioids. Creation of this guidance was mandated by the Washington State Legislature in the 2024 passage of SB 6109, which requires courts to give “great weight” to both DOH’s public health guidance and the lethality of high-potency synthetic opioids. Participants will learn about the creation of this guidance and gain insight into applying it effectively in child welfare cases to promote better outcomes for children and families impacted by opioid abuse.

All court and system partners involved in child dependency cases are welcome to attend, including those with lived experience as youth, parents, caregivers, and foster parents.

This webinar will be recorded and made available for later viewing on Family & Youth Justice Programs’ website.
