Many Thanks to the incredible team that gathered for a beautiful training event that, we hope, will spur several types of innovation around WA State (and beyond).
We listened to expert Parent Allies discuss our system, where it works and where it needs to improve; learned about the role diet and health play in our ability to do our jobs, and families’ ability to engage and succeed; discussed the costs of inCivility and ways to promote Civil behavior in our court system; learned about acute and chronic Trauma, and how Responding to it means changing our perspective about families; and were introduced to the concepts, values, and process of Peacemaking as a potential leading-edge innovation that can create healing within our adversarial process. We at CITA promise to continue to build on these concepts, and work to implement innovations along these lines.
